Frank Minchinton Centre staff are excited to announce the first ever “Look Good Feel Better” workshop for women diagnosed with cancer in the Colac and district community will be held in the next few months.
Look Good Feel Better is a free community service program dedicated to teaching cancer patients how to manage the appearance-related side-effects caused by cancer treatment. The workshops include sessions on skincare techniques to alleviate symptoms including dryness and sallowness; make-up tips to help patients deal with concealing redness and drawing on eyebrows; and advice on headwear including scarf styling and wig selection.
The program involves locally trained and certified cosmetic, beauty and hairdressing professionals who volunteer their time and expertise and will be held at the Birregurra Community Health Centre in late 2017.
Bookings are essential as each participant receives their own kit.
