Governor Chernov Visit to C.M.H

C.M.H. played host to some special guests last Thursday with The Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC Governor of Victoria and Mrs Elizabeth Chernov spending some time to tour the facilities at C.M.H. as part of their visit to the Glenelg Shire.

C.M.H. played host to some special guests last Thursday with The Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC Governor of Victoria and Mrs Elizabeth Chernov spending some time to tour the facilities at C.M.H. as part of their visit to the Glenelg Shire.

 

The Governor and his official party had just completed a tour of the newly developed Kathleen Millikan Centre prior to the visit on C.M.H.

 

The Governor and Mrs Chernov were accompanied on the tour of CMH by the Mayor Cr Robert Haliday and Mrs Haliday, Cr John Northcott and Mrs Northcott, Cr Karen Stephens and newly appointed Shire CEO Mr Greg Burgoyne.

 

The Governor and his wife toured our Primary care / Allied Health wing, Acute care wing and Glenelg House our Residential Care facility.

 

While at Glenelg House they took time to speak to our residents whom were busy in a number of activities including Christmas cake decorating to some of the men re-aquainting themselves with the fleece and shearing apparatus.  

 

Governor Chernov also spent some time chatting with our latest Nurse Graduate in Ms Brittnee Tait showing great interest in her education journey from Casterton through to her current position and future options. 

 

Governor and Mrs Chernov together with the official party were most impressed with the style and presentation of our Health Service and of the services that CMH provide to our community.

 

The Governor and Mrs Chernov departed CMH at 11am on their way South to Lake Condah and then on to Portland for an official dinner.
