Podiatry

What is a Podiatrist?

A podiatrist is a health professional who deals with the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

Who can access our service?

The Podiatry service is a Home and Community Care (HACC) funded service. Our aim is to prevent long term complications associated with foot conditions.

HACC clients are defined as:

  • Frail
  • Aged
  • People with a disability
  • Their carers
  •

The HACC Program is designed to support people whose capacity for independent living is at risk, or who are at risk of premature or inappropriate admission to long-term residential care. Eligibility does not depend on age or income.
